Once upon a time there was a girl. Her name was Maroussia. She loved to sing. But she still did not have anything that is so appreciated among celebrities today. No scandalous airs in television talk shows. No rich inheritance that would be shared by the whole world. Neither Instagramma, where she would advertise her sponsors.
She lacked only one to earthly stellar glory - time.
“I myself learned about her several years after her death,” says Yuliya Eliseeva, creator of the only memory group of Marina Simanovskaya. - Everywhere there were some scanty clippings. And I read her full story only in 2005, from the book of her father, the bard Igor Simanovsky. And it burned to create this community in order to collect at least a very little about it ... "
“After so many years, I am writing a book about the life and death of my daughter,” there is nothing worse than these words. Actually, Marina had no big biography. 1 was born on October 1978 of the year in the village of Sukhoi Karabulak, Saratov region. 4 died on April 2002 of the year in Moscow.
Father came up with a beautiful name for his daughter on the way to the maternity hospital. Maybe because Marina meant “sea”, and he himself was born on the Black Sea.
The parents of the future singer worked at that time on the construction of the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline. “On these routes, children were born, grew up in these route conditions, went to kindergarten and school, from birth they got used to an unfinished life, where the toilet was in the yard, imported water, and the trailers were heated with coal or firewood”, - later recalled Igor Simanovsky.
They were very close. Father and daughter. After 23, it was she who was looking for support and protection from him, all the while asking, “Dad, will I live? Dad, won't I die? ”
Sang with three years. She climbed up on a stool, and then waited for everyone to applaud her loudly. In the second grade I entered the piano music school. In the third - their family moved to live in Moscow.
At school, everyone knew that Marina Simanovskaya would one day become a star. “The meaning of her life was singing,” recalled her teachers and friends.
But along with the openness there was in it some frightening depth, a dark pool. Uncharacteristic for that time of light and meaningless dance tricks - it was believed that only these are needed by young people.

“I met with Alexander Tolmatsky, who was then the producer of Muz-TV, and together with him we decided to create a project called Bad B. Alliance. The idea was on a monumental foundation to build a high-quality Russian rap, ”continues producer Vlad Valov. - It was, in my opinion, 1998 the year when we started.
The association included Wad Balance, Sheff, the team "Legal Business". Then came the boy Decl. His first song was "Friday."
Tolmatsky wanted to give his son a birthday present. I showed Cyril how to rap. After two weeks, it became clear that he was a new star.
After some time, Tolmatsky again approached me and suggested: “Maybe you look? I have a completely killed group of girls. Four or three pieces. They seem to be doing something, but they are failing. ”
The group was called TRP. Normal girl team. The name of the third soloist has sunk into oblivion. The two remaining names were Leah and Maroussia. They played on the contrast. Very sexy Lia Volyanskaya (Sexy Liya) and Marina Simanovskaya with a professionally staged operatic voice, who graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Art with a vocal class.
“The names of the performers and the names of the groups were also made up by me,” says Vlad Valov. - In my solo track “The Speed of the Day” there was such a line - “Take the DECL to the right”, in the sense of A LITTLE, A LITTLE.
His father liked it, and we called Cyril Decl. And the girls became “White Chocolate”. White chocolate, it exists in nature. Why don't white Russian girls play black r 'n' b?
“I changed my last name to Tolmatskaya”
The first person I found on social networks and who agreed to talk with me about Marus and Decl was Dasha Tolmatskaya.
- No, I am not a relative, but the same name by my own will. I loved Cyril very much. All my childhood was spent under the sign of Decla, - says Dasha. “So when I became an adult, I officially changed my last name to him.” He was very angry with me then.
- Did you know each other personally?
- Yes, but not as friends, but as a fan and an idol. Once after the concert, another fan told me that Decl had a studio in Sokolniki and gave me the address. And I went there as if to work, trying to catch him. But she did not wait. Therefore, I went to the Savelovsky market and bought a database, started calling on the phone that had been punched at this address.
Once he picked up the phone itself Decl. And he invited me to visit. I rushed to him at three o'clock in the morning in Sokolniki from Bibireva.
I was 13 years old. And he 18. And he, frankly, ofigel, when he saw that I was so small. In the sense that I was scared for me, how can I get home. He sang a song to me and paid for a taxi. And he phoned my mom to find out how I got there. He is very human with me.
Then Dasha became interested in Vlad Topalov. But the name still took Decla.
- When I told him about it, he reacted negatively. He had a mystical thinking, and he believed that nothing just happens. That everyone should have their own first and last name, that they influence fate. Otherwise, you will share yours in half with someone else's. Or you will bring trouble.
Maybe I thought it out for myself, but that’s what happened soon - quite young, I became a suspect in a murder case, an 105 article ch.1. Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
I managed to prove my innocence, but it was very painful, scary, hard. I do not want to remember. So, this is my fate ... Before, it seemed to me that, perhaps, having changed my last name, I somehow pulled off some of his misfortune to myself from Decl. But now, when Cyril is dead, I don’t think so.
- Children's love in Decla forgot?
- A lot of that happened afterwards, - Dasha Tolmatskaya sighs. - But he remained the most amazing person in my life. He gave some unrealistic advice, and they worked, that's what is amazing. He said that the main thing is to believe in yourself. If you believe, then whatever you want can be fulfilled with the power of thought and spirit alone. Marina Simanovskaya was like him in this. She was dying and still scribbled sheets of paper with the same words that she could cope, that she would stand on her feet, that she was strong ...

“... The work of White Chocolate has begun. I wanted the girls to sing under the R'N'B style hip-hop base - rhythm and blues, I have long wanted to stir up something like that, - continues Vlad Valov. - The first composition was called “Queen of the Night”. We rehearsed it for a long time. A month or two. They were able to sing, but in the rap culture itself has not yet entered. We did not find any money for the first clip, we decided to continue working. By the way, they invented all their songs themselves. ”
Leah wrote the lyrics. Marusya lyric choruses. The future graduate of “Star Factory-5” Valeria Golubeva was a motor of the team.
Moscow Youth Palace is packed to capacity. Announce "White Chocolate". When Marusia was invited to sing with a newly-minted Russian star, no one was surprised. It was a strange and unexpected combination. A boyish falsetto reading rap and a gentle voice of Marousi cracked on the very top note.

The girl does not expect anything good from the future. She writes a letter to her idol so that he can save her from such a life. ”

17 November 2001, Marina Simanovskaya, together with Decl, won the Grand Prix for “Letter” on the Golden Gramophone.
The hall exploded. Kirill Tolmatsky was at the peak of his popularity. Maroussia remained in his shadow. Although some media rushed to christen her “Decl's girlfriend”, which upset her parents very much - she was four years older than the young rapper, and it was impossible. “I was small and even a little jealous of Marus Decl, until I was shown her. She behaved as if she no longer belonged to this world. Very peaceful, wise. As a balm for the soul, as if she knew everything about herself beforehand, ”recalls Dasha Tolmatskaya.
At that last big public concert, Marina barely held onto the microphone stand. Slender to transparency. Wide khaki pants. Yellow sleeveless zipper. Pink blouse. Her gorgeous hair, which she so cherished, was cut off at the root. A bandage on her head covered the islands that were bald by radiation therapy.
Fatal diagnosis
“I don’t remember from whom I heard that Marusya was sick. The girls just started to spin up. Requests were sent to them, concert activities began, and so it was insulting! ”Exclaims Vlad Valov.
Before the first operation, Vlad recalls, they all went to the hospital to donate blood for Marusya. Brain cancer. During the nine months of illness, the girl experienced two operations and twenty-five sessions of radiation therapy.
“Marusya taught me to be strong. She with such difficulty endured all these difficult procedures and never cried. She remained for me forever a very kind girl, practically an angel, ”recalls Lia Volyanskaya.
“Marina was an incredibly pure person, still unspoiled by life. And even her first and only love was pure and tragic. Her classmate Alik Linets - he crashed on a motorcycle, ”says Valeria Golubeva.
Marina, Mariska, as her father called, was very worried about this tragedy, walked around, shut herself up, and did not talk to anyone.

“December 17 2001, the daughter told us that she needed to take her to the rehearsal of the new video in the evening. But then for the first time her head ached. Before the pain was not. We put her to sleep. Began to wake, but I can not wake up. Marina fell into a coma, ”said Igor Simanovsky.
The ambulance girl was taken to Sklif. But it was too late. Relapse Repeated operation did not help. She was sent home — to die.

4 April 2002, Marina Simanovskaya died in her Moscow apartment in the hands of inconsolable parents. Shortly before her death, she asked to be baptized according to the Orthodox rite and in baptism took a new name for herself - Mary.
“There are so many people at her funeral that you can't even imagine! - says Vlad Valov. - Not less than Decl! And how did everyone know? After all, there was still no social networks or fast Internet. We did not even try to find a replacement for her in the team. “White chocolate” kept only on the charm of the Marusiny voice, it was meaningless to continue without it ”.
She lacked quite a bit of luck and health to become a star on earth. “Aunt Lyuba tried to live as much as possible, do some things. And uncle Igor devoted the remaining years to perpetuating the memory of his daughter - he wrote and published memories of her, made a film, - says Dasha Tolmatskaya. - On the shelves of his book with the name "Girl of the Jungle" never lay, but you could write to him in the mail - and he sent her. I also signed it so funny - I drew a small guitar under the autograph with the final touch. ”
“The worst thing is to bury one’s own children. Alexander Tolmatsky not envy now. Like Igor Simanovsky after the death of Marusya. Yes, everyone is dying. And young too. But parents should leave before children, - considers Vlad Valov.

Last year, they met together again. Lia Volyanskaya. Lerika Golubeva. Vlad Valov. A strange idea came to my mind: is it possible to reanimate White Chocolate? It turned out that they are still remembered. Not only love and wait. Like the memory of something far and bright. “Hip-hop has got drunk. He became very fast. As if through his teeth or with a hangover, - says Valeria Golubeva. - The main thing is, with the help of technical chips, to be at least somewhat different from others. The meaning in the texts is no longer so important. ”
They shook the old days and recorded the compilation Strong Moms about matured girls who raise children without fathers.
Their viewers are now 35. Peers Decl and slightly younger than Marina Simanovskaya.
Her father, Igor G. Simanovsky, also died of cancer in February 2017. He is buried in the Mitinsky cemetery in the same grave with his daughter. Her monument is a thin figure of a girl looking into the distance, hers is a guitar lying on a granite slab. “I did what I promised him,” bit by bit from the demos collected Marusya's posthumous album “The Jungle Girl”, recalls Vlad Valov.
