Any couple wants the most important day of their life to become unique, wonderful and unforgettable. And in recent years it has become fashionable to enter into marriages in non-standard places and conditions: a wedding in the style of a knightly tournament, on top of a skyscraper, during a parachute jump, under water, and much more.
35-year-old James Syss and 32-year-old Ashley Schmieder from California approached the issue of their wedding thoughtfully and thoroughly and chose a place to marry at an altitude of more than 5 km above sea level.
In order to fulfill their dream, lovers traveled thousands of kilometers and spent several days on the march.
A preparation for the ascent and planning a campaign, James and Ashley began a year before the event. The climb to Everest itself took about three weeks, at the very beginning, in Nepal, they were joined by photographer Charlton Churchill, who captured this beautiful couple among the snowy peaks.
The pair withstood the low temperatures, exhausting ascent and nevertheless achieved its goal. The most amazing thing is that the newlyweds took with them on the march traditional wedding dresses and rings.
