Ebony Stevenson from Oldham, Greater Manchester, 2 December 2018 of the year went to sleep at 20: 30 because of a severe headache, writes Lenta.ru. According to the 18-year-old girl, she does not remember how she got up after that and went to the bathroom, where she had a seizure. Her mother, Sheree, called an ambulance, and the arriving doctors first asked if Ebony was pregnant.
Sheri replied to the doctors that this was impossible. At this time, in the eyes of the surprised mother, Ebony's belly grew. Doctors explained to the British woman that her daughter has pre-eclampsia - a severe form of toxemia in the late stages of pregnancy. Because of the cramps of the pregnant, the fetus began to move actively, so it became visible.
Ebony was taken to the hospital and entered into a medical coma. At night, doctors conducted an emergency cesarean section to save the child. The girl's mother first saw the newborn only four days later, when she came out of a coma.
“It sounds horrible, but when they put the baby on my chest, I asked him to carry it away, because I was shocked and decided that I was confused with someone,” recalls Ebony. She called daughter Elodie (Elodie).
Doctors explained that the Briton did not know about pregnancy for so long due to the fact that she had a congenital doubling of the uterus. While in one of the organs, located closer to the back, the fetus developed, the other uterus continued to function as usual, so menstruation did not stop for Ebony. Doctors noted that it is usually difficult for women with such an anomaly to get pregnant and bear the fruit, and called the case of the British woman extraordinary.
Ebony admits that early motherhood was not part of her plans, but she is very happy and "would not change her daughter for anything in the world." Over time, she plans to return to college and continue to study at a sports physiotherapist. Sheri is ready to take care of the child, since it does not work.
