Sophia Rotaru hospitalized: she fainted and lost memory

Sophia Rotaru, People's Artist of the USSR, was urgently hospitalized in one of the Ufa hospitals. She became ill during a speech at the corporate party, and the doctors took her to the hospital near 23: 00 on Saturday, August 25, writes TVNZ.
Employees of the clinic claim that 71-year-old Rotaru lost consciousness at corporate parties in Ufa, and when she awoke, she did not understand where she was and did not recognize people. The singer was urgently placed in intensive care.
“Rotaru fainted, because she had a sharp surge in blood pressure,” said a nurse from the Ufa clinic, where doctors are now restoring the singer's health. “When she woke up, she lost her memory, did not understand where she was, did not recognize people.”
Hospital staff said that now the state of the artist has stabilized, but added that while they decided to leave it under the supervision of doctors.
“Now Sophia Mikhailovna is better, her memory has returned, her head is not spinning, but we decided to watch it for a few more days, not to send it on the road, not to risk it,” the health workers said. “She doesn’t have a stroke, she is talking, everything is fine with speech.”
The singer herself confirmed that she really didn’t feel good at performing, but now she is feeling better. About this Rotaru wrote in her Instagram.
"Friends! Indeed, yesterday there were some health problems. Thank you all for your support and care! I am already normal and I really want ice cream! ”Said the artist in the publication.
It is worth noting that Rotaru, despite her age, recently looked and felt good. In early spring, she posted a series of photos from the rest on her instagram, and many noted that she looks younger than 70 in her 20 years.
Rotaru is one of the most famous artists of the USSR, who has not stopped singing for over 50 years, having a very busy touring schedule. In the current decade, the activity of Rotaru's touring has slightly decreased, but the artist performs with enviable consistency and gives concerts in Russia.
Sofia Rotaru received the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1988, she was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples and Badge of Honor, as well as the Russian Order of Honor in 2002.
