The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova has announced the national and international search of a member of parliament and businessman Ilan Shora, who is also known as the spouse of the Russian singer Jasmin.
On the national wanted list, a man was announced last week, July 25, after he did not appear at the court session, being at that moment under house arrest, writes NEWS.
In June, 2017, Ilan Shor was sentenced to 7,5 years in prison, but the man remained at large, because the court decision takes effect after being considered in the Appeals Chamber. She, in turn, constantly postponed meetings. Since 2017, the court has not started the consideration of the case on the merits.
During this time, the businessman became the mayor of the city of Orhei, was able to create the “Shor Party” and become a member of parliament. According to Interfax, Ilan Shor managed to postpone the final decision of the court thanks to the support of the main Moldovan oligarch, ex-chairman of the Democratic Party of Moldova, Vladimir Plahotniuc.

In June, after the Democratic Party was declared opposition, Shore, Plahotniuc and their close associates left Moldova, despite the fact that Shora was forbidden to leave the country by a court decision.
It is noted that the database of the Border Guard Service of Moldova does not contain any data on the time and place of border crossing by a businessman. There are assumptions that he was able to leave the country’s borders through a plot uncontrolled by the Moldovan border guards located in Transnistria. The prosecutor's office opened a criminal case against Shor on charges of illegally stopping the border.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova does not exclude that Plahotniuc may be located in the United States, and Shor in Israel. The head of the local ministry, Andrei Nastase, said he intends to seek help from the FBI in investigating the crimes committed by businessmen.
