“Sad news came tonight. Died Armen Borisovich Dzhigarkhanyan, an outstanding artist and leader, head of the theater that bears his name, ”said the source.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, November 17, Dzhigarkhanyan's friend Artur Soghomonyan told RBC. Whether there will be a farewell at the theater is still unknown.
Armen Dzhigarkhanyan was born on October 3, 1935 in Yerevan. During his school years, he became interested in theater, but his attempt to enter GITIS was unsuccessful. Returning to Yerevan, he worked as an assistant cameraman at the “Armenfilm” film studio. In 1958 he graduated from the Yerevan Fine Arts and Theater Institute.
