Says Melanie St.-Amour, manager of the Washington club Bad ax throwingIt helps people to let off steam and get rid of excess emotions. An ax can be thrown at a portrait of an ex-husband or wife, but, if desired, you can choose a simple thing (one of the clients brought a wedding dress, and the man brought shoes of the former wife).
The club has two tracks, one set takes 25 minutes. Before the start of the action, everyone is instructed - there are axes that are heavier (5 pounds) and lighter (2,5 pounds), and you need to learn how to handle them. Oddly enough, men are engaged in throwing worse than women. And in general, ladies come to be thrown with axes more often - this is 60% of visitors.
Similar clubs exist not only in the USA (by the way, these are 19 cities), the very first one was opened in Canada in 2014 year, and the last one was opened in Paris last year.
