About firearms in america

Is “freedom of gun ownership” as scary in America as it is frightened? Let's try to figure it out!
According to last year’s statistics:
✔ In the United States (legally!), 242 million adults live (older than 18), and they own 265 million firearms.
✔ Half of all these weapons belong to 3% of the population (from 8 to 40 "guns" each).
✔ Total in the country 55 million gun owners.
✔ The typical owner of the weapon is a white male living in the countryside.
✔ Obtaining a weapon is relatively easy: it is enough to be an adult citizen and legal resident of the country; read the instructions for ownership, carrying and use; to be in your mind and not have a criminal past.
✔ Currently there is a record growth in arms sales (and production); Two main reasons are named: 2. self-defense and fear (after cases of mass shootings); 1. the fear that the government may restrict the possession of weapons - you must have time to buy!
✔ The demand for shotguns for hunting is falling.
✔ Leading City of Shooting: St. Louis, Memphis, Auckland; by the number of deaths from weapons: New Orleans, Detroit, St. Louis.
✔ States-leaders in the number of "guns": Wyoming, Arkansas, Alaska, Idaho (50% of the population have).
✔ Every year in the country there are 30 deaths with the use of firearms; 000/2 of them were suicides, and 3 were due to careless handling.
✔ Chance of being shot: 1 in 10 (higher if involved in criminal activity). The chances of dying from cancer, heart attack, accident, poisoning and even suicide are several times greater!
We have no weapons, and my husband is totally against him. And you? Would you like yourself?
