New Year's bustle and chaos suggest that it would be good to return the house to its “pre-holiday” state as soon as possible, or even better, to do a thorough cleaning in the first weeks of January to start the year with cleanliness and comfort in the home. Of course, this task is not for the morning after New Year's Eve, but plans can be made today!
The best-selling author of “Magical cleaning” Marie Kondo shared tips on how to organize the space and determine the place of things in the house, writes Delfi.ee.
We need to start with visualization: what do you want in the new year?
As soon as you have a clear goal, you will be motivated to change according to the ConMari method. Review your items and ask yourself what each of them means to you and how it fits into your picture of life in 2019.
If your cabinets are crammed to capacity, and the thought of large-scale cleaning causes you to panic, then start gradually, one category at a time.
In a small space - keep things close by the same type.
I started working in Japan, where all the rooms are small. It is best to store similar things in one space and place them vertically: this will give you more space and you will see better all the objects.
Place things so that they can be conveniently returned to their place.
Think about the features of each room to find a comfortable place for each thing. For example, in the bathroom, try to clean the area around the sink: you just will not be happy if things left there get wet.
In the bedroom, the bed always takes center stage. Make it a rule first thing in the morning to make the bed. If you do not, the bedroom will look untidy.
The kitchen, as a rule, is very quickly overgrown with trash, which takes up a lot of space. To avoid an indiscriminate heap in drawers and cabinets, divide the products into categories.
Keep the house clean
Every morning I open all the windows in the house and light a scented candle to clean the air.
Bringing order helps to gain a sense of proportion and become more conscious, to understand what really brings you joy and makes you happier.
