The American firefighter couldn’t have had a wedding with his lover for five years, and when the ceremony did take place, the building caught on fire and the man had to rush to help.
The bride did not want to let him go, and the moment when he nevertheless rushed to extinguish the fire was like a scene from a superhero movie. But ultimately, the persistent couple got their way: they are now married, writes Media leaks.
Jeremy Buras, a firefighter from the small town of St. Paul Park in Minnesota, made an offer to his girlfriend Christe Boland five years ago. She agreed to marry him, but various circumstances intervened in their plans all the time. At first, the girl wanted to finish the nursing courses before the wedding, then the couple had two children, and then her mother, Krista, passed away. The wedding had to be postponed time after time.
Finally, in the summer of 2018, Jeremy and Krista realized that nothing interfered with them anymore, and decided to still have a wedding. Again, no obstacles did not go: they could not find a suitable place. But the solution was found: the chief of the brigade, where Jeremy works, allowed to use one of the premises of their fire department. The groom could have been on his guard, but he knew that statistics was on his side: only a few fires occur in the city in a year, and most often minor. Moreover, on the wedding day, he naturally had a day off.
But according to the law of meanness, it was in the midst of their wedding ceremony, which took place on September 1, that there was a strong fire near the site. Jeremy's colleagues went to the call, but Krista himself did not let go, although he was ready to go.

Soon, however, the firemen contacted the station and said that they needed help: the fire turned out to be even more serious than they thought. And while another fire brigade was going to help, Jeremy and Krista concluded that the groom would have to join them. According to Jeremy, his bride no longer objected.

As the bride admitted, her attitude to Jeremy’s work is very controversial. Her sister lost her house in a fire, and three years ago, her nephew and niece Krista, who were 11 and 9 years old, were killed in the fire. The girl is proud of her husband, saving people from the fire, but every time she is very worried about him.
In part, I sent him to this fire, because I myself was in a fire, I experienced it. But after what happened to our family, it probably worries me the most. Every time he goes on a call, I get very worried. As if a hole is formed in the stomach.
The fire really turned out to be dangerous, but by the arrival of the groom, all residents had already been evacuated. Over the next two hours, Jeremy helped his team put out the flames. When the fire was finished, the captain ordered him to return to the wedding, which he did. More ceremony did not interfere with anything, and Jeremy and Krista finally became husband and wife. According to the girl, the continuation of the wedding after the return of her fiance was one of the most joyful moments.
Guests gave him standing ovations when he returned. It was very cool. He was exhausted, but did not show it at all. We celebrated the whole evening and had a great time.
Thanks to the persistence of Jeremy and his now-married Christa, their wedding could not even break the fire, but some firefighters have even harder than the hero of this story on the day of his marriage.
