Symptoms began to appear after a head injury, but medical examinations do not show abnormalities in the body. Meanwhile, the memory of the schoolgirl is reset every two hours until the fateful day, when she suffered.
Illinois schoolgirl Riley Horner participated in dance at an educational institution on 11 on June. This was a turning point that divided Riley's life into “before” and “after.” Now the girl’s daily routines resemble the famous film Groundhog Day, because every two hours all her memories are erased until that fateful day.
According to Riley herself, she is often confused and sincerely trying to remember what has happened to her recently, but cannot. Every day, when a girl wakes up, she is sure: today is 11 June.
“I have a calendar on the wall, I look at it, and it's September, and I'm like, wow,” says Riley Horner.
A girl cannot remember even the simplest things - for example, where her school locker is located at school. So the teenager has to constantly keep detailed notes about his everyday life, take photos of them on a smartphone and set an alarm for every two hours, so that over time he finds out what happened to her. For the same reason, Riley always carries all the notebooks and textbooks with her at school.

It is not easy for parents of a young American.
“Last week my brother passed away and she probably has no idea. We tell her about it every day, but she doesn't know, ”Sarah Horner says sadly.
The doctors could not give an exact diagnosis to Riley despite the fact that the girl with her parents had been in the hospital dozens of times. According to doctors, examinations do not show abnormalities in the brain of a schoolgirl. And the initial injury was not even classified as a concussion.
Doctors claim that unusual amnesia can accompany younger Horner her whole life. And the teenager’s mother does not intend to put up with this. After all, the woman found out that if you live with this condition for six months, irreparable damage will be done to the brain.
“We need help,” says Sarah Horner. “We need someone who knows a little more about amnesia because the daughter deserves better. She wanted to work in the medical field, but now she could not cope with any work if she tried. "
