After 16 complaints of ill-treatment in a family in California, the child was found unconscious

10, a one-year-old boy who was found with severe head injuries in an apartment in California, reported that he was gay just a few weeks before his death.
Last week, 10-year-old Anthony suffered fatal head injuries and cigarette burns all over his body.
Brandon Nichols, deputy director of the Los Angeles County Children's and Family Affairs Department, said that Anthony courageously stated that "he likes boys." He added that the department continues to investigate the cruelty that led to the death of the child.
Aunt Anthony, Maria Barron, said that she had warned the children's affairs service back in 2015, when she noticed bruises and other injuries, which, according to the children, were caused by her mother’s friend Karim Leiva. In addition, the children also reported that this boyfriend locked them in small rooms, where they had to urinate and defecate on the floor. In 2010, Leiva was convicted of domestic violence.
School administrators, teachers, counselors, family members, and other people from 2013 Goad wrote 16 complaints to the Child Protection Service and the police, accusing mother Anthony, Heather Barron and her friend Karim Leiva for domestic violence.
In an interview, the director of the Children's and Family Protection Service, Bobby Cagle, confirmed that the callers complained that Anthony and his six brothers and sisters were deprived of food and water, sexually abused, beaten, hung upside down on the stairs, had to sit for hours locked up in small rooms without access to the toilet and eat out of the trash.
The tragedy with Anthony occurred on Wednesday, 20 June. His mother called 911 around 00: 15. Arriving on the scene, Los Angeles County police found a boy with head injuries and no signs of life. The police were told that the child "suffered head injuries after a fall."
He died in hospital on Thursday morning. District officials seized seven more children from the family, as the investigation is underway.
