Facebook users resented seeing the original flower portrait of Diana, created by volunteers and exhibited on the Chesterfield market square in honor of the 20 anniversary of the death of the princess. In shock were the residents of the city, who happened to see the work with their own eyes.
Incredible picture consists of vibrant colors and is located on three vertical planes. In the center there is, in fact, the face of the princess (if this composition can be called so), and on the sides are roses and the dates of 1997 and 2017 are indicated. And if the roses - it is known that Diana was called the English Rose - the masters completely succeeded, then this cannot be said for sure about the portrait.
Residents of Chesterfield described the painting as “gruesome” and “scary”. And one man even said that the portrait was in front of his eyes even at home. Readers on Facebook were not so unambiguous - they were much less scared. Some wrote that they were laughing through tears, others called the flower arrangement an insult to Diana. Someone even compared the portrait of the princess to a scarecrow from a children's British TV show.
Trying to be correct, one subscriber said, “I appreciate all the work that went into decorating, but it's just awful.” After that, the photo went viral and aroused even more public interest.
Strangely enough, the Chesterfield authorities were not upset - they planned that the composition that the 14 volunteers created would attract more people to the city. Well, in the end it happened.
