Channel One decided to annul the results of the final of the TV show “Voice. Children ”after the Group-IB company revealed the cheating of votes in favor of the daughter of the singer Alsu Mikella Abramova, who became the winner of the competition.
“The interim results of the audit confirm that an external influence was exerted on the vote, which influenced the outcome of the show,” the channel said in a statement.
“The analyzed traffic made it possible to reveal the fact of the presence of a massive automated SMS sending to a short number in favor of one of the participants in the“ Voice. Children ”, - said in a press release from Group-IB, received in Air force.
According to the calculations of Group-IB, only about 300 phone numbers took part in the cheat, more than 8 thousands of text messages were sent from them. All numbers belong to the same operator and use the same rate. At the time of the check, the numbers used were not available, explained in Group-IB.
The check continues and will be completed by the end of the month. Prior to the publication of the final results of the audit, the company did not disclose data for the regions where anomalously high voting was recorded.
