Colorado pediatrician accused of having sex with children

70-year-old pediatrician John Barto from Johnstown, Pa., Was arrested in January of 2018 for sexual harassment of the patient and for having sex with a 14-year-old doctor's relative.
The investigation revealed that Barto also showed sexual attention to an 7-year-old girl who is his relative, reports Breaking 911.
According to the girl, she was harassed for several years; sexual contact began when she was 3 of the year.
Barto has been charged with sexual harassment, corruption of minors, sexual contact with a minor and a threat to the well-being of children.
Prosecutor Josh Shapiro said that parents tend to trust pediatricians, and the defendant “used this for his perverted goals, which makes his crimes even more horrible.”
A 7-year-old victim told that the most recent attack on her was during Christmas celebrations in 2017 year. According to her, she sat on Barto’s lap and watched TV, at some point the man began to touch her improperly. The girl’s family was nearby, but Barto turned away from the others to hide his actions. The victim stated that the attacks started at the age of three, and almost always took place in the same chair while watching TV.
Investigators believe that the victims of Barto’s actions are much more and asked them to go to the police and tell them about their experiences.
