A passenger found a Chanel bag full of money and a note in Russian on the New York subway

Last week a metro passenger performed a miracle for a Manhattan woman of fashion when he found and handed her a bag of Chanel full of money.
“I just did what I hope most people will do,” Richard Tavern told The Post.
An 63-year-old man found a blue bag on a platform on Thursday morning at the Lincoln Center. According to him, he looked inside to find an ID, but found only a note in Russian.
Not seeing the MTA agent, he took the bag home and found a big surprise: an envelope with $ 10 000 inside.
The next morning, a retired financial adviser delivered the money and wallet to the NYPD 20 building.
It turned out to be the same police station where an 50-year-old woman from Manhattan reported that she had lost her bag of money for a trip to Russia.
“It did not belong to me. If someone has lost 10 000 dollars, then he is probably in a lot of trouble, ”said Tavern with his thoughts.
The police handed over the bag to the woman.
