Igor Vostrikov, who lost his wife, three children and a sister in the infamous Winter Cherry, was accused of disliking the country and moving to the United States. The reason was his posting on Instagram made in America.
Kemerovo’s Igor Kostrikov, whose whole family did not survive the fire in the Winter Cherry Shopping Mall, has been posting Instagram posts from the USA since late January, writes TVNZ... The very first message aroused the indignation of some subscribers: Vostrikov was accused of betraying his country and arranging "PR on the bones". The reason for this was such phrases in posts as "the world has stepped into the 21st century, and our country is stuck in the 20", a comparison of gasoline prices, earnings and living standards. And also - photographs where Vostrikov smiles, rests and behaves relaxed.
"Do not go crazy"
Vostrikov posts pictures taken in Central Park in New York, on the streets, in cafes ... And for some subscribers, such enjoyment of life is tantamount to a mockery of the memory of a deceased family. “If my family died, I drank for a year, and he travels!”, - one of the users is indignant. Another accuses that Vostrikov spends compensation, which were paid for the dead relatives, on travel and entertainment. "I would have so much money, I would have taken a couple of children from orphanages for education ...", writes one of the commentators.
Vostrikov, on the other hand, explained his travels not by hardness of heart, but by means of experiencing tragedy.
- In my case, this is what helped me not to go crazy. When, a month after the tragedy, I went to Moscow, and then to St. Petersburg, I realized: what I need is a change of pictures and not sit still, especially at home. Now I am moving around the world ... - Vostrikov explained to his subscribers. However, the majority of subscribers support him and notice that you need to live here and now, and if discovering the whole world for yourself helps to cope with grief, then you need to move and get acquainted with new countries and cultures.
“We deserve the best!”
Messages in which Vostrikov compares life in Russia and America, have caused a new wave of indignation. And the majority of subscribers say that not everyone lives well in Russia. And so they understand Vostrikov in his decision to leave the country.
“With his money, which he received for a burned-down family, he, of course, is paradise. A year has not passed and such fun! ”,“ Turned into an ordinary foreign liberal, scolding the country ... ”, some say that they pinned on Vostrikov the hope that it was he who after the grief experienced could change the country, and then - moved to America ...
Igor Vostrikov himself refers to accusatory comments with humor. He does not try to make excuses, but explains what is happening in his life. In the video filmed on the night of February 5, the first thing he said was that “Russia is a cool country, but we need to winter elsewhere,” and that is why he first left for Thailand, and now - for the United States. This helps him not only to live "here and now", but also to comprehend and survive the tragedy that happened to his family. Moreover, he confesses his love for his country. “I can't understand those who live in our country and hate it fiercely!” - Vostrikov answers the spiteful critics. Comparing the living standards of different countries, Vostrikov notes many problems, including corruption and bribes. And also encourages fellow citizens to continue to believe in their own strength, to fight for a better life and a decent life. “I want all people to have the opportunity to live comfortably. We are no worse than America, ”he writes in his account.
By the way, in response to the attacks on the move to America, Vostrikov shows a ticket to Russia with the date of departure 20 in March, and this ticket was purchased back in December 2018 of the year. He will return to Kemerovo in time for the memorable dates - the birthday of his wife and the death of the whole family.
He also needs traveling in order to take a break from the long winter, see the world and experience the tragedy that has entered his life. But he is not going to leave the case of “Winter Cherry” and remains confident that the firefighters are guilty of the death of his relatives who remain locked in the cinema and they must be punished.
Recall that 25 March at SEC "Winter Cherry" there was a fire, which killed 60 people. Igor Vostrikov lost three children, a spouse and sister who were locked up in a cinema. After the tragedy, he began to cover the progress of the investigation of the fire in social networks, often accusing employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of corruption. In the autumn, Vostrikov took part in the elections to the Council of People's Deputies of the Kemerovo Region, but could not win.
