24-year-old Ekaterina Karaglanova, an Instagram blogger and model, was found dead in her apartment in Moscow on Friday, July 26. Yesterday it became known that the suspect was detained: he told the details of the brutal murder.
It is reported that the native girls called the landlord, which she rented, after they stopped receiving any news from her for several days in order to get into the apartment. Going inside, they saw Catherine’s disfigured body, which was lying in a suitcase, writes Gossip.
Yesterday it became known that a suspect in the case of the murder of Karaglanova was detained. It turned out to be 33-year-old football coach Maxim Gareev.
According to one version, on the day of the murder he came to Karaglanova's home and saw a suitcase in her apartment (she was going to fly to the Netherlands with her 52-year-old admirer to celebrate her birthday there, yesterday Catherine would have turned 25 years). Then, jealous of the girl, he inflicted several knife wounds on her, which proved to be fatal.
After the murder, he tried to hide her body in a suitcase, to carry it and cover its tracks, but the girl did not fit in it. Then he just left the body in her apartment, closed the door and went home, where he stayed all these days until his detention.

According to another version, Gareev saw Karaglanov on the site of sex services. But they could not agree on their value: Karaglanova considered the amount proposed by Gareev too small and refused him an intimate connection. He was greatly offended by him, and in a fit of anger he killed her.
Catherine told friends about threats and blackmail at the beginning of this year, but she never turned to the police.
On Instagram @katti_loves_life (“Katie loves life”) Karaglanova was quite popular. Her blog, where she mostly posted travel pictures, has over 90 followers. The girl worked as a resident doctor.
