In Moscow, they arrested 33-year-old Maxim Gareev, who is suspected of killing 24-year-old Russian fashion model and blogger Yekaterina Karaglanova. The body of a girl with five knife wounds in the neck was found on July 26 in a rented apartment - it lay in a large suitcase.
After the private meeting TVNZ was able to communicate with the suspect. It became known that Gareev was an IT specialist by education, and several years ago he moved from Chelyabinsk to Moscow. Then, according to the recollections of acquaintances, he was a rude and brutal guy. But about 1,5 years ago, changes took place: Gareev underwent hair transplantation, plastic surgery, eyebrow tattooing and even began to dye his eyelashes. After the meeting, the man did not want to show his face to the journalists, arguing that he looks bad due to the lack of “home self-care”.
"I am very sorry"
According to journalists, at first Gareev sat in silence, but then decided to apologize to the parents of the deceased: “I want to apologize to Katya's parents. I am very sorry". He also recalled his parents: “I would not want them to know the details. I'm very embarrassed".
The suspect's mother is unaware of what happened, the father hides the shocking news from her. The parent said that Maxim did not communicate with him for about a year - they had a falling out because of the huge debts of their son and large sums of money spent on girls of easy virtue.
“How do I feel now? - asks Gareev. - What do you think, if I have four higher educations, I studied in London, I had a salary of about 500 thousand (7700 dollars - ed.) Per month. And after that I sit here. "

Gareev asked if he loved the deceased Catherine.
"Of course not. I saw her for the second time in my life. She is an ordinary prostitute. 10 thousand rubles (150 dollars - approx.) Per hour, ”says the man.
Gareev regularly used the services of prostitutes - hundreds of times. He even had a nickname among the girls - Ken. Like a doll, Barbie friend.
During the interview, the man sat, hiding his face in his palm. He was asked why.

When Gareyev got ready to be taken to the SIZO, he turned to the cells:

According to Maxim Gareev, he asked his mistress to make him a coffee. He wanted to drink coffee, get dressed and leave.
“She said she didn’t want to waste coffee on me. I went to the kitchen and tried to cook it myself. But she continued to mock me, ”says the suspect.
“She said that I could save money for our next meeting only in a year,” Gareev complains. "She said I was a rogue."
By the way, despite the fact that Gareev boasted of a large salary, his father spoke about his son's debts - he and his mother were forced to fetch money from their modest income every month and send it to Maxim. The suspect's lawyer said that he “did not have money for a defense lawyer under the contract,” and Gareev asked his relatives not to call.
