She was the muse of Andrei Tarkovsky and the dream of hundreds of thousands of fans. Margarita Terekhov was called the muse of the legendary director Andrei Tarkovsky - after the main role in his film “The Mirror” they spoke of her as a profound dramatic actress with many-sided talent. In 1981, the actress gave birth to a second child - a son, Alexander. However, she kept the name of his father a secret for a long time, without revealing it even to her relatives. Alexander never saw his father and only found out his name after many years - he turned out to be the owner of a knitting factory, Saifiddin Turaev, whom Terekhova met in Tajikistan during the filming of the film “Who Will Go to Truskavets”. The man was married, so the actress for long moves kept the secret of the birth of their son.
The third husband Terekhova became director George Gavrilov, who was younger than her 16 years. After their first meeting, he said, “a chemical reaction occurred. Everything was abnormal with us, in violation of all laws, frameworks and decencies. ” Since their wedding took place when the actress was already pregnant, many considered Gavrilov the father of her son Alexander, and she herself traditionally kept silent about this.
After the third divorce, the actress no longer married and at the same time ceased to act in films, the level of which she had ceased to arrange. When asked about her loneliness, she replied: “Why do you think that I am alone? I'm just like a flying dutchman or a migratory bird. Fortunately for me, there were two men who became fathers of my children. ”

Her daughter Anna said: “I felt: my mother always wanted a man to be there who could protect, comfort, help. I saw her eyes burn when Mom fell in love. And how then faded when the relationship ended. I think she was just unlucky to find her man. It seems to me that she felt and was hard going through her loneliness.
Probably, she did not allow the possibility of complete rapprochement with anyone, even with her own children, simply because she was afraid to cripple their lives.
“I have always tried not to interfere with them, but to help, I knew when to approach and when not to. Children should not be too close, otherwise they will hate you later. Anya and Sasha chose our profession completely independently, ”said Terekhova.
