Former US President Barack Obama and his spouse receive letters from Americans every day with invitations to the wedding, anniversary, celebration of the birth of a child and other events.
But, surprisingly, the Obama family is still responding to these letters, writes The Huffington Post.
User Twitter under the name 96_brooke published a snapshot of a letter that her mother, Liz Whitlow, received from the office of Barak and Michelle Obama. Previously, she sent them an invitation to the wedding.
Obama, of course, could not attend the wedding, but at the end of July they sent the answer to the newlyweds:
“Congratulations on your wedding. We hope your marriage is blessed with love, laughter and happiness, and your bond will grow stronger every year. This event marks the beginning of a lifelong partnership, and if you choose to embark on this journey, know that you have our best wishes for the many joys and adventures that lie ahead. "
This tweet caused a huge stir in the social network. Other people began publishing their letters they received in the past from the Obama family after they sent them invitations to important events.
It is noted that during the time of their stay in the White House, the Obama couple received tons of letters every day, among which were invitations to the wedding to completely unfamiliar people. Probably, Barack and Michelle get them so far.
