What can be seen in the backyard?
✓ Lawn. Lots of lawn. More lawn! The lawn in the USA is “sacred”. Recently in store Home Depot we saw the seeds of lawn grass, on the packaging of which the husband was attracted by the inscription that it is grass from Florida, and it grows well, very quickly, in a matter of days!
We brought a bag to the checkout, and he asks: "And here it is written that this herb is temporary - how is it?"
The cashier explained: it turns out that this is such a special, really TEMPORARY herb, it grows super-fast, lives 3-4 weeks - and dies.
“Eeeee…., - we mumbled. - No, thanks, we changed our minds, we would have an everlasting custom!
✓ A platform or a veranda, on which there is a table, high chairs, an umbrella or a shed, and, of course, a grill. Because you're some kind of American if you don't have a grill.
✓ Swimming pool is not cheap. There are both stationary (permanent - rarely found in Michigan) and temporary (more often for the season).
✓ Bushes, flowers, trees - everything is clear with this.
✓ Vegetable garden. Yes, do not be surprised, many Americans buy seeds or seedlings of berries, fruits and vegetables, and they grow it all themselves. On a small scale, of course, you cannot compare with our hundred square meters of potatoes! (Potatoes are not grown in the backyard, lazy people!). What is often grown: bell peppers, tomatoes (Virginia treated us with her own), green onions, lettuce, various greens, strawberries, red currants - I saw all this with my own eyes!
Any idea why someone needs a temporary grass on the 3-4 week? After all, once sold, it means that someone buys. And then I already broke my head at a guess.
