Rambler I decided to collect for you tips on cooking, cleaning and organizing kitchen space, which you may not have suspected.

Use an ice cream scoop to easily remove seeds from pumpkin and squash. Its pointed edge will easily remove seeds from vegetables. The same spoon can be used to decorate finely chopped salads.
2. We get rid of the cooked dish from excess fat
If the finished dish was unexpectedly rich, you can easily remove excess fat with a couple of pieces of ice and a paper towel. Wrap the ice in a napkin and run it over the surface of the dish. Ice attracts floating fat, like a magnet, and it freezes on a napkin.
3. Handle cling film like a chef
Does the cling film stretch and tear? Store it in the refrigerator - all the chefs in the world do this. The cold film is easy to handle, less sticky and less irritating.
4. We clean citrus fruits easily
Advice specifically for those who do not like to peel oranges, lemons, or tangerines: put the fruit in the microwave for 20 seconds, then easily peel the fruit.
5. Making it easier to clean boiled eggs
Add baking soda or vinegar to the water when boiling eggs. Both substances penetrate into the shell and facilitate separation from the protein.
6. Squeezing out more juice from citrus fruits

7. We rub soft cheese without problems
Before rubbing, put the cheese in the freezer for 30 minutes. The hardened cheese will not stick to the grater and will become more crumbly.
8. Chop the onion without tears
Place the onion in the freezer for 30 minutes before chopping. True, this method is suitable if you are going to fry or cook it in the future. Onions should not be put in salads in this form.
9. Cook pasta correctly
To avoid waiting for the pasta water to boil or overlooking it, place a wooden spatula or spoon on top of the pot. The tree will prevent the rising foam from overflowing.
10. Cooking the whole bird
When baking the chicken (or other bird) whole, place it on the breast. The fact is that the breast has the most meat: the closer it is to the heat source, the sooner it is cooked.
11. Making muffin cups
If you do not have special cake molds, use parchment paper instead. In addition, using this method you will get non-standard cupcakes that will look much more interesting.
12. We warm up pastries correctly
To heat a pizza or any other pastry in the microwave, place a glass with water next to it. Thus, the evaporated moisture will not allow too dry the baked crust.
13. Making the perfect fried eggs
Pour a tablespoon of water into the edge of the pan. Cover the pan with a lid that fits exactly. The water will turn into steam and cook the top of the fried eggs. Due to this, a film forms on the yolks, and inside they will remain liquid.
Storage Tips
1. We prepare greens for the winter
To preserve all the beneficial properties of greenery, freeze it in ice tins. You can use water or olive oil.
2. We store properly peeled nuts
Freeze the shelled nuts so that they retain all the useful properties, taste and aroma. Place the peeled nuts in an airtight container, close tightly and place in the freezer. Do not fry the kernels first, otherwise there will be no benefit from them. Nuts must be placed raw in the container. Another advantage of this storage method is that the nuts will not develop the rancid taste that develops over time if stored at room temperature.
Cleaning tips
1. We clean cast iron correctly
To prevent rust from forming on cast-iron dishes over time, you should not clean it with conventional means. For this, it is better to use ordinary salt. In addition, this method will relieve the dishes of the obtrusive smell of the spices that you used when cooking.
2. We get rid of the unpleasant smell
Use lemon or baking soda to rid your hands of the obtrusive smell of onions or garlic. Just rub your hands with them and wash them off with water.
3. We give the dishes a pristine shine
To restore the shine of chrome dishes, wash them with vinegar and water. If there are no electrical elements, then for the best effect, you can soak the dishes overnight in the same solution.
4. We give a second life to wooden spoons
Wooden spatulas and spoons lose their appearance over time and acquire an unpleasant odor. It would seem that there is only one way out: to throw them out. But if you are sorry to part with your favorite kitchen helpers, there is a solution. Boil wooden spoons in plain water and dry in the sun. Thus, you will get rid of the unpleasant smell and give them a second life.
5. We clean wooden cutting boards
To get rid of the smell and food debris from the wooden board, rub it with coarse salt and leave it in this state for 10-15 minutes. Then wipe with half a lemon and pat dry. This procedure is guaranteed not to leave a trace of unpleasant odors.
6. Keeping the recipe book clean
We often cook from a recipe book or our own notes. It can be very difficult to place a book on the table on the page we need, and even this position does not at all guarantee that it will not get dirty with splashes from the cooking food. Use a regular trouser hanger to keep your cookbooks free from dirt. The clamps will fix the page you want, and the book will be more secure when hung.
