Igor and Elena Malyshevs have been happily married for almost 33 years. The story of their relationship is told by the author of the RAW blog at Yandex Zen.
Igor and Elena Malyshev have a special holiday - Family Day. In 2020 they will celebrate it for the 33rd time. On September 11, 1987, the wedding of graduate students of a medical university took place. Since then, for Elena, family has become the main value in life.
The future doctor and TV star got married quite late by domestic standards - at the age of 26. She wore glasses since childhood, was plump, never considered herself beautiful, but was proud of her intelligence:
“That's how I lived. Cheerful, happy, not very pretty, but terribly smart. And with zero chances of marriage, ”says Malysheva about herself.
By the standards of that time, she was a hopelessly old maid, even her mother was desperate to see her daughter married. And her father believed that there was still a person who could appreciate her dignity.
Worrying about the fate of his daughter, Vasily Iosifovich advised her to "pretend to be a fool" so as not to scare off potential suitors. The girl indignantly rejected this offer.
“If a man is looking for a fool, then he wants his children to be raised by a fool. When a man chooses a woman on the principle “if only she is not clever,” he must understand that the payment for such a choice will be children - not very smart and poorly educated, ”Elena said in an interview.
Igor Malyshev said that in seconds he remembers the first meeting with his future wife. A graduate student from the Tomsk Medical Institute came to the Moscow laboratory of a famous scientist and in the corridor saw a girl whom he liked so much that he immediately thought: "She will be my wife."
A few months after they met, he proposed to her. The man said that he wants her to raise his two sons. Elena decided that he had children from his first marriage, and took time to think about the proposal. The misunderstanding became clear the next day, when the girl expressed her readiness to adopt the boys. Igor was speechless, and then explained that he meant common sons.

According to Elena Vasilievna, she is the complete opposite of her husband. Igor Yurievich is a calm, balanced, stable and silent person, while his wife is like a seething volcano. At the same time, they harmoniously complement each other, and still call each other "Helen and Gerochka". And if the names Igor and Elena are used, this is a sign of a close quarrel.
According to Elena, Igor Malyshev is the foundation of their family, the foundation without which Elena would not be able to do her favorite work and social activities. He always supported his wife, was her “main fan and motivator” and guided her through life. Elena Vasilievna says that she owes her career to her husband.
But Igor Malyshev is not only a TV star's life partner. Thanks to his dedication, practicality, ability to concentrate, he achieved significant success in the profession, he took place as a scientist.
Malyshev is a doctor of medical sciences, a professor at the Moscow State Medical and Dental University, where he heads the laboratory of cell biotechnology.
The team under his leadership is working on molecular biology, looking for ways to correct impaired immunity using reprogrammed macrophages. His research was recognized at the state level: Malyshev has repeatedly received the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation.
