However, the most heartbreaking part of the evening was the speech of Nellie Kobzon. The widow of the famous singer said that according to Orthodox tradition, it was on the fortieth day that the soul of the deceased goes to heaven, and therefore it is especially hard for her now. The wife of Joseph Davydovich noted that he will always live in her heart, and the memory of him will remain for centuries.
Recall that Joseph Kobzon passed away on August 30 in a Moscow hospital at the age of 80. The peak of Kobzon’s fame fell on 1970-80's. He was the face of the Soviet stage and a symbol of the era, yielding in popularity except to Alla Pugacheva.
