Four years ago, Natalia Maltseva, the host of the popular program “The Housing Question,” was diagnosed with cancer. For a long time she did not speak about her illness and only recently decided to tell frankly what she had to go through during treatment, she writes Woman.ru.
In a recent interview, Natalya revealed that the disease forced her to move to Israel for two years, where she was undergoing treatment and subsequent rehabilitation. Now, when the cancer has already receded, Maltseva is ready to speak openly about this difficult period and about what helped her recover.
“I didn’t want to think about it for a long time. It always seems that someone may have cancer, but not you. My husband insisted that I check, and it turned out that the probability of 99% disease, ”Natalya frankly admitted in the studio of the author's show of Vyacheslav Manucharov on his Youtube channel“ Empatiya Manuchi ”.
According to Maltseva, when a person has oncology, this is a sure sign that you need to change your life.
“When I was undergoing chemotherapy, there was a woman with me in the ward named Galya. She kept saying: "The main thing is not to change anything in life." I then tried to tell her: “Galya, it's the opposite. You must change everything now! Spit on the disease and do what you did not allow yourself before, ”added the TV presenter.
Natalia believes that oncology has changed a lot in her life: “I am grateful to my illness for helping me get out of my usual rut. Another story began. I suddenly felt that I was good. My husband is next to me, I am sitting in an apartment overlooking the sea. I've never had so much free time. ”
“Yes, I felt sick, my hair was falling out, it was physically bad - but that was secondary.”
Now the TV presenter is happy, because she returned to her favorite work. Now she leads a new morning show on NTV called Maltseva.
