Melania Trump is looking for volunteers to organize Christmas at the White House

Although there are still a few months left for the Christmas and New Year holidays, First Lady Melania Trump has already begun preparations for the most magical time of the year.
On August 3, the White House issued a press release announcing that the first lady of the United States and her husband, President Donald Trump, will once again "reopen the People's House to the public and traditional Christmas decorations," writes Fox News.
And while creative enthusiasts can submit their nominations to transform the 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue home into a winter wonderland by September 3, musicians are invited to apply by September 17. In December, select “school bands, choirs and Christmas-themed speakers” teams and artists will have the opportunity to participate in an open house. Selected volunteers will be notified of this by October 1.
First Lady's spokeswoman and director of communications, Stephanie Grisham, also confirmed that finding volunteers to speak at festive events is not new.
Last year, over 25 thousands of visitors had the opportunity to visit the White House during the holiday season. The design process involved 150 volunteers who took more than 1600 hours to do this. 53 Christmas trees, 71 a festive wreath and more than 18 thousands of light bulbs were used.
The decoration of the palace, the style of which was called "Traditions honored by the times", was opened to the public at the end of November, and the first lady "chose every detail of the decorations," as journalists then reported.
The best elements included dozens of twinkling Christmas trees, a live ballet performance of The Nutcracker, and a 300 lb (136 kg) White House gingerbread cake.
