Store guards detained teen Tionu Rodriguez, suspecting her of stealing skinny jeans for 44,50 dollars, but noticed an unpleasant smell emanating from her bag, says Mirror.
Opening the girl's bag, the guards did not even suspect what a nightmare awaited them. The source of the smell was the baby's body, which had already begun to decompose. The teen confessed that she killed the baby after giving birth to him in the bathroom at her friend's house in Queens. At the time of birth, the girl was 17 years old. The baby was born with normal weight and height. An autopsy was carried out to determine the cause of death - it turned out that the child had been strangled. But the tragedy did not end there.
It turned out that this child was not the first in Rodriguez. She also gave birth in 14 years, and it was also a boy. The family did not know about the pregnancy until the girl had contractions. The child did not survive.
Rodriguez was arrested and sentenced to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty. The district attorney called the case "shocking."
