Today I want to talk with you about dentistry in the United States.
My husband was impatient here to go (and take me) for an examination and brushing my teeth. He dug for a long, long time and chose a better clinic on the Internet (because he also has no tender feelings for dentists) - and that's how I recently found myself in a dental chair!
The examination here was somewhat different from the examination in Russia - in particular, here they pounded my entire mouth, from the inside and outside of the teeth, with some kind of needle-shaped instrument (they measured how deep the instrument enters between the tooth and the gum).

They immediately took an x-ray of all the teeth. Well, everything, now I can be identified in the teeth, if that!
And then offered to remove wisdom teeth, all 4!
From such an offer, my mouth immediately closed.
Have you lost your mind? Yes, I know them longer than you! Yes, I'm with them in the fire and in the water! In four countries, lived and married a second time!

Speaking of prices
My husband has insurance (total BCBS and dental Delta dental) from the employer, and I went there as a spouse.
- Without insurance, a turnkey wisdom tooth extraction costs $ 291.
- Under the contract, for our insurance it costs $ 249.
- Of these, 80% are paid by insurance ($ 199.20), and 20% - by us ($ 49.80).
- Total, all 4 darlings will cost us $ 199.20, instead of the uninsured $ 1,164.00.
- The inspection itself was free, covered by insurance.
