Recently, the beauty queen made a shocking confession. At the age of 15, when her family came to the UK from Bangladesh, she was forced to marry a man who was much older than her. According to her, relatives literally sold her into slavery.
“I remember it as if it were yesterday. He just came in for dinner and said he wanted to marry me. I was a child, I was hysterical, I dropped the plate on the floor. I was put up for auction. One of my uncles took bets. It was terrible. I was treated like a slave, ”the woman said.
Her husband raped her every day so that she would quickly become pregnant and give birth to a child who would allow him to legalize himself in the country.
The woman admitted that forced marriages flourish among migrants, and the British authorities are not hindering this.
