In American homes, the kitchen is combined with the living room, most often they are separated by the bar counter. Often a kitchen sink is built into this rack, and the rack itself can be used as a table. High chairs are usually placed next to her.
In general, in the USA you will not see just a full-fledged kitchen where you can close the door. Since childhood, I got used to the fact that the kitchen is a separate room, and here it is just as part of the living room.
Refrigerator
In America, they love huge refrigerators. There are two reasons for this.
First, Americans usually go to the supermarket once a week or less and pick up a lot of food at once. Naturally, for this they need a roomy refrigerator. This is quite realistic, because, for example, American dairy products can be stored for almost a month.

The second reason is that Americans are very fond of buying frozen food, and for this they need a huge freezer. For example, simple dishes in plastic containers that can be defrosted in the microwave are popular. I am a little confused by such food, because, for example, pasta with meat has a shelf life of up to a year. I have tried it once and do not recommend it to anyone. But Americans love it because it is very convenient.
