How couples get along in miniature houses

Few people want to live in a tiny apartment and crowded with a loved one in a small square. But, nevertheless, there are couples who prefer to live in small, but their houses, than to pay money for renting someone else's housing, writes The Washington Post.
As the owners of small houses told, their lives changed in many ways after they moved to a new home. They received not only financial freedom, but also moved to another level of relations. Life without partitions and stairs was quite happy.
“The most important thing is that we found a balance between when you are alone and when we are all together,” said 32-year-old Emily Gerde, who lives in a house with an area of just over 30 square meters. Together with her live her husband, 32-year-old Justin, their 3-year-old son, a dog and 4 cats. About a year ago, the family sold the 4-bedroom home and acquired a small home in southern Minnesota. They now have a lot more time for each other.
“In a big house, I never had time because I always had to do something,” Emily admitted. "The tiny house gave us freedom and helped us get closer."
Another couple who chose to live in a tiny house instead of a huge apartment are Alexis Stevens and Christian Parsons. They live in a house of just over 12 square meters.
“There are times when I get so angry that I hear him doing something in the house,” said 33-year-old Alexis. - So, it's time to go outside the house for a walk. Open air is the biggest room. ”
Stevens and Parsons traveled to their tiny home in the 27 states and created a documentary about it called Tiny house Expedition.
“It seems to me that we started talking to each other more, because it is impossible to hide in this house, - said Parsons. - Any conflicts are resolved much faster due to the small space. In a tiny house, you have nowhere to go. We know if something is wrong, then we better talk about it in order to quickly solve the problem, ”agreed Stevens.
