2. Have legal status
Have you heard about how people “go to work” in the USA? No, not on a work visa, but to earn money. In fact, people receive a tourist visa, which does not give the right to work, but violates US law. Such immigrants (illegal immigrants, let's call a spade a spade) work without documents, do not pay taxes. Some do it for years. And when they get bored, they return to their homeland and tell them that life in the states did not suit them.
3. Be responsible
Nobody argues that it is difficult to live with dignity with Russian salaries and pensions. But not everyone tolerates this. Someone is moving to another city, looking for a more decent salary. But this applies to young people. And what should the elderly do? It's a shame for them. And after all, it practically does not matter where he worked - pensions are approximately equally miserable.
In the USA, the pension depends on the person's savings. By itself, a pension from the state is a penny, but people save money in special accounts all their lives to ensure a decent old age. And they do not blame anyone, because their pension depends only on themselves. Precisely because your life depends only on you, many immigrants cannot cope with this responsibility - it was easier at home.
4. Do not work carelessly
"And so it will do!" - this is not only a phrase from a Soviet cartoon, it is a motto in life for many, including immigrants. And this is definitely not a motto for the job. In the USA, salary depends on professionalism: the better you work, the more you are worth. Everything is logical.

5. Set long-term goals

In the US, you can set goals for the future, since the dollar will not collapse and inflation is minimal. If you don't know how to do it, it will be difficult.
Then such would-be whiners say that no one needs anyone in the United States, that they pay pennies on which you will not survive, and in general it is better to return to your homeland. But if you lived in the United States, of course, you understand that for the most part people stay in the country. And the stories about how bad life is in the United States are just the legends of those who could not adapt.
