How the operation is performed

On an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia, doctors sew together the remaining sections of the hymen with special absorbable sutures. But if repeated defloration does not occur within the next 7-10 days, the restored virgin membrane will independently disperse, and after a while its fragments together with the manifestations of the menstrual cycle will leave the vagina in a natural way.
Long-term hymenoplasty is carried out for women of any age and occurs by suturing tissues a little closer than in the middle of the vagina. At the same time, all three internal layers of the organ are involved in the operation - mucous, muscular and submucous. Hymenoplasty is performed in the clinic under general anesthesia using absorbable sutures, after which the patient remains under the supervision of a doctor for several days. She should refrain from physical activity and penetration for up to 3 months. The result of this procedure lasts, as a rule, for several years.
Why do modern women do hymenoplasty
Surprisingly, in the United States and Western European countries, surgical restoration of the hymen remains one of the most popular plastic surgeries. In this case, we are not talking about women who agreed to it for religious reasons or because of the strict requirements of the groom and his family.
