An American woman named Tessa Snyder is determined to inspire as many people as possible around her life-affirming instagram in which she publishes her personal model photos. The girl is not at all ashamed of the fact that instead of one of her legs she has a prosthesis, and even vice versa. Tessa is sure that with him she is even more beautiful.
Tessa Snyder was an ordinary girl from Philadelphia, until in 2000, when she had only 11, her leg began to hurt. At first, Tessa did not attach any importance to this, but with each morning the pain grew stronger and stronger. Then the parents took her daughter to the doctor, where she learned the news, dividing her life into “before” and “after,” writes Medialeaks.
I remember sitting in the office of a surgeon who examined my biopsy scars (Medialeaks), for examining a piece of tissue for diagnostic purposes, including cancer. He stood right in front of me and tried to explain to me that I had cancer. As simple as it was possible to explain a 11-year-old girl.
The announcement of the diagnosis was followed by two months of chemotherapy. Tessa spent most of her time in the hospital, lost her thick brown hair, and got food through a tube, because the food caused her disgust because of the side effects of the drugs.
Seeing how their daughter was suffering, her parents decided to offer her a leg amputated, where the tumor was, until she spread even further. And Tessa agreed.
Even then, I thought, if you really choose between these torments and leg amputation, then amputation is better.
In September, 2000 Tess was operated on, and three months later, the doctors told the girl that she no longer had cancer cells. And although it was very good news, Tessa faced a difficult task - to learn how to live with a prosthesis.
2001 was the year I actually reborn. My first prosthesis did not bend at the knee - it was specially designed so that I could learn to walk on two legs again. It was especially difficult for me to go to school with him. I was very worried about how classmates would treat me.
18 years have passed since that moment, and now, as the girl herself admits, there is not a trace left of her experiences and complexes. Tessa is a model, happy wife and mother of two children.
