How Americans Raise Independence in Children

What I like about Americans is raising their children’s independence!
It's no secret that in America a child begins to earn his own pocket money from 15-16 years, laboring in a cafe, for example, or walking neighboring dogs. And this is not because the Americans are greedy! Just because a teenager learns to value money, time and loses the opportunity to sit on the neck of parents, dangling legs.
You got a fine for fast driving - be so kind as to earn money to pay for it yourself (fines in the USA are very large), if you want a new radio tape recorder in your car or your phone - on your own.
In high school, many parents stop waking their children to school - there is an alarm clock, learn to wake up without any help! I was late for school once, the second - stayed at school at the weekend for additional lessons in the form of fines. You are systematically late - a very severe reprimand or expulsion (depending on the school rules). With such a characteristic, it will then be difficult to enter any normal university.
I believe that these are wonderful ways to influence the formation of a person’s personality.
