How America has changed me for 6 years

America is changing people beyond recognition, not only internally, but also externally. Coming out of JFK to “the land of freedom and opportunity,” I was more like the roundish Marilyn Monroe, and I was sure that all gentlemen would prefer blondes. Now I'm a big fan of Audrey Hepburn, I love breakfast, and even more - brunch paired with Tiffany bracelets. Photos speak louder than any words: my photos of 6 years ago and now.
1. My skin
She looks younger and healthier, and I eat the right food. Initially, the choice was limited to McDonalds or Burger King. Yes, financial stability is reflected in the body. And in America, I learned not to bother with trifles. The main thing is that you have fun, right?
2. Figure
Now I am slimmer - a real paradox! Thanks to the $ 1 pizza and cheesecakes for the first 3 months, I instantly joined the “plump in America” society. I felt myself, to put it mildly, not very ... Did you know that Are the most slender people in the US living in the state of New York? Now I weigh less than 10 years ago, and my friends in Russia even wonder if I have anorexia. On the contrary, everything is fine with me, I eat as much as I want and intend to use the magical abilities of superfast metabolism (while it is) to the maximum.
3. Character
Instead of the shy thing, it's now cute. I used to hide insecurity behind black dresses and modest half smiles. Now I'm not afraid to laugh out loud when I'm having fun, and very generous with Hollywood smiles. The point is not even in the country, the age “for 20” is much more pleasant than teenage angularity: knowing who you are and what you want brings happiness. I have a great time, wherever and in whatever it is: in a chic dress or baseball cap of your favorite team.
4. Independence
I was always fond of computers, and in the States I finally got my own laptop (no more battles for laptops with a younger brother or “gamers” in the family). Long live 4 July (for the slow-witted, Independence of America is celebrated on this day - Ed.)! After moving old veteran laptop Dell changed to a thin, light and attractive fellow, ideal for writing MINI articles in coffee houses.

Life in the world capital of fashion will inevitably affect the wardrobe. Changed and mine: from flip flops and a sundress with a hypnotic print to must-have Fedor hats and bags Gucci.

I realized: horse racing and betting on “happy” horses will not bring feelings of self-satisfaction as a person. Americans taught me the most important: the main thing in life is to give. We come to this earth in order to change the world for the better. Summit Women in the World and UN-women devoured me completely. Thanks to them, I understood: it is wonderful to be a part of something bigger.
It’s hard to predict how your life will change in 6 years, but something tells me: my love for photography, walking around Manhattan and shooting a video will remain unchanged. Well, or will be even stronger.
