The most beautiful grandmother in the world - 52-year-old Iraida Gorea advises all Moldovan women not to limit themselves by age and believe in their own strength. With her example, Iraida proved that after 50, life can also be filled with new colors.
"I gave myself a nickname - Toptygin"
Grief has always dreamed of taking part in a beauty contest, writes Rambler. But in his youth, there was no such possibility - a woman raised three children. Already in balzakovskom age, she began to closely follow the news from the world of gloss. A few years ago I learned about the existence of a competition among grandmothers: a resident of Moldova took part in it in 2014. In 2019, the competition was to be held in Singapore.
“I wanted to refuse to participate in it due to financial costs. The ticket there is expensive. But then they told me that the competition would take place in Sofia, and I was very happy, ”said the interlocutor.
A contestant from Moldova has been preparing for the competition for over a month. For the nomination "Talent" she chose belly dance, which she had never performed before.
“I agreed with the coach and started practicing. She gave herself the nickname Toptygin, because from the very beginning nothing worked. I counted steps when I rode the trolley bus, when I walked through the streets. Trained at home without music. And one fine day I said to myself - if I get lost, I'll start singing a cappella. In Moldavian style and in oriental dress! ”, - said Gorya.
Behind the scenes of the competition
Despite the fact that each participant came to Sofia for a victory, the atmosphere behind the scenes of the competition was friendly, our compatriot shared her impressions. Women helped each other to dress and in every way encouraged their rivals with a kind word. By the way, there was no age limit for participating in the competition for the title of the most beautiful grandmother.
Among the contestants were ladies aged slightly over 40 and a few over 80. The main condition was the presence of grandchildren. One of the highlights is the defile in national costumes. For example, a participant from Estonia came out in an outfit, stitched 200 years ago, said Gorya. She ordered her costume from the craftswomen who expanded it manually.
“Other contestants approached me and admired the rich embroidery of our national costume. Proud to be in it. I want to give my costume to my granddaughter, because thanks to her I got into this competition, ”said Gorya.
Children and grandchildren monitored the success of Iraida on the Internet. They have been living abroad for a long time and gather together mainly for holidays.
