Nanobebe became a finalist in the 2017 JPMA Innovation Awards and received an award in the innovation category at the 2017 Kind + Jugend international trade fair.
The creators of the bottle and best friends, Asaf Kehat and Ayal Lanternari, grew up together, served in the Israeli armed forces and together acquired the profession of a biomedical engineer.
One night, Lanternari 2013 heated up a feeding bottle with breast milk to feed his newborn son, and thought that maybe after the milk had been collected, stored, cooled and heated, it lost some nutrients. He reported this guess to Kehatu, and friends decided to develop a new bottle.
According to the US Food and Drug Administration, the amount of bacteria in it doubles when breast milk travels from room temperature to cold. These microorganisms consume nutrients and deplete unique immunological properties, because milk uses its immune defenses to fight bacteria. In addition, the standard baby bottle is designed for infant formula, not breast milk.
The creators of Nanobebe have developed a special configuration of the bottle, which allows you to reduce the cooling time and increase the heating rate by half. Due to this, nutrients are preserved in the required volume and the growth of bacteria is reduced. In addition, the Nanobebe is equipped with an innovative ventilation system and is easy to clean.
Nanobebe will appear in US retail stores in January, and shortly thereafter in Europe and the Far East.
