Kristina Nikitina worked in the mall as a manager and consultant. When the fire started, she helped the children navigate the smoke, directing them to emergency exits.

The administrator and security guard of a shoe store in the shopping center saved dozens of people by opening an emergency exit through their department. Aleksandr Kalachev, 21, who worked in a cafe on the territory of Winter Cherry, helped evacuate people from the third floor of the shopping center. He pulled the children out of the fire on himself and inhaled smoke himself, and also received a burn. After the tragedy, Vladimir Putin met with Alexander in the hospital.
