Today is the birthday of Philip Kirkorov. ForumDaily Woman talked to his girlfriend, producer and TV presenter Lika Osipova, who lives in the United States, who gladly agreed to talk about him and congratulated the King on his 53rd birthday.
Lika, how did you meet Philip?
- Three years ago in Los Angeles we were introduced by a mutual friend, accordionist Peter Dranga. I remember now: it was very exciting to go to that same lunch.
But from the very first meeting, there was a feeling that Philip and I had known each other for many years, and there was no shyness from communicating with the star.
Were you a fan of Kirkorov before personal meeting?
- I come from Pyatigorsk, and when I was 15 years old, Philip flew in with concerts to our city. I adored the King, dreamed of getting to the concert, but all the tickets were sold. My friend worked in the concert hall where the singer performed, and promised to get Philip's autograph for me. I remember how I handed him my huge printed photo (I was just starting to work in a modeling agency, and this was my first photo shoot).
Fortunately, there was no limit when my friend brought Philippe's autograph with a stunning inscription in my photo: “The most beautiful girl in the city of Pyatigorsk.” That was unexpected! I even got an incentive to take part in a local beauty contest. And so my career began, one might say, thanks to the King.
Tell us, what kind of Philip in life is beyond the stage image?
- Philip is an amazing person who delights not only with his talent, but also with generosity, gallantry, and the ability to truly make friends.
I will never forget our "First Date", or rather, our trip to the play "First Date" at the MDM Theater in Moscow. I was amazed at how attentive Philip was, because I always notice the details and pay attention to the little things. He is a real gentleman who will open the door for a girl in a car, take care of her in a restaurant, take off his jacket if the girl is cool ... This cannot but amaze, now there are simply no such men left. Perhaps the first thing that struck me about this multifaceted man was his concern.
And one more little story. When we were in Vegas and walking around the Venice casino, fans began to approach Philip. They spoke Russian very poorly, it seems these people were from Kyrgyzstan. I was impressed by the way Philip talked with them: not only took a picture, but also talked about something, paid attention to the fans.
And how does he reveal himself with loved ones?
- Many people know about how Philip is a good and faithful friend, with what kind of soul and trepidation he is. It’s always interesting with him, he’s ready to tell something interesting, to discover something new. After talking with him, a pleasant aftertaste remains.
Why did the media suddenly write that you are a couple?
“I don't know how that happened.” It all started with the created common fan clubs: Philip has a million of them. After our common photos began to appear on the networks (other accounts reposted them), the real pressure began: we watched every comment that Philip left under my photos, even decided that I was pregnant and waiting for little Kirkorov. My friends sent me links to articles that said that Philip and I had a violent romance, but we carefully concealed this. This is not surprising, because the press has always written and will continue to write gossip about public people, I have not been responding to this for a long time.
During quarantine, you cannot get to Russia, it is to the USA. Are you bored? How often do you communicate?
- We communicate on WhatsApp, in February we saw each other in Los Angeles when Philip flew to the Oscar. Of course I miss. When Philip flies away, there is a feeling of emptiness, and next to him is always a holiday.
How do you spend time when he comes to the USA?
- A year and a half ago, when Philip had a grand tour of America, one of his concerts was held in Los Angeles on my birthday. Los Angeles was the final point on Philip's tour. His show is just a delight! A huge number of dancers, sets - an incredibly exciting performance. I was at his performance at the legendary Dolby Theater, where the Academy Award is annually held, and at a concert in New York at the massive Madison Square Garden. Not a single Russian artist collected such full houses in the USA, as Philip does, not a single artist had such a show as he did. This is crazy work! I can’t imagine how all this could be brought overseas.
So, returning to the performance in Los Angeles. My birthday, I'm sitting in the hall, the concert is almost drawing to a close. Philip always goes out to greet the audience ... I had no idea that he would come up and wish me a happy birthday for the whole Dolby Theater! I will not forget how unexpected and exciting it was - I will always be grateful to Philip for this wonderful moment.
When the concert ended, I went to a small company to celebrate my birthday. Of course, she invited Philip. I doubted internally that he would come, because his tour had just ended, a lot of energy was spent, and I assumed that Philip would go to rest. But once again he surprised me - and arrived. It was my best birthday present.
Philip gave something personal?
- I did not expect gifts: I was not going to celebrate my birthday, everything turned out spontaneously. But Philip, of course, did not come empty-handed, but with a gift from the Gucci store. By the way, he loves giving presents.
Do you know the children of Kirkorov?
- I met Philip's children in Moscow after his concert at the Olimpiyskiy - at an after-party in his restaurant. Acquaintance with Alla-Victoria and Martin made a huge impression on me: what a well-mannered, smart, wonderful children they are who adore their dad. You could look at this idyll endlessly!
What would you like to wish the birthday boy?
- On the birthday of Philip I want to wish him good health, family happiness and joy, endless applause, new fiery projects, positive emotions. And I will add: in Los Angeles, his friends always wait, love and miss him!
