The American Time magazine has compiled a list of the 100 most influential women of the century. "New Time".
The rating was compiled as part of the annual special project Man of the Year, but in an expanded format. So, the editors of the publication chose the most influential woman of every year, starting in 1920.
Time notes that for 72 years the magazine chose Man of the Year, and only in 1999 it was decided to change the name of the rating to Man of the Year, which allowed women to be included in the list.
Each heroine from the rating of the 100 most influential women of the century has a separate cover. In total, 89 new covers were presented, while the remaining 11 were decorated with women who had previously been proclaimed the Person of the Year.
“We created 89 new covers, many of which were designed by famous artists. We left 11 covers for women, which we previously called Man of the Year. 100 names in this project are the result of many months of work, which began with a list of 600 nominations compiled by Time employees - specialists in this field, our creative partner, director Alma Harel and a committee of famous women from various fields, ”the publication said.

The rating included many prominent women, including American singers Madonna and Beyonce, British Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana, Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, eco-activist Greta Tunberg, former American First Lady Michelle Obama, American comedian Ellen Degeneres, Irish performer Sinead O'Connor, American writer Amelia Earhart and many others.
“From Amelia Earhart to Beyonce, from Eva Peron to Malala Yusufzai - meet 100 women who have defined the appearance of a century,” the authors of the rating write.
