Unlike Melania, Ivanka does not try to avoid contact with the hand of her husband by any means. Moreover, they actually hold hands all the time, writes Refinery29... The pair, made up of the two least controversial White House advisers, show more fascination with each other than most popular “public” millionaire-turned-politician pairs.
The editors decided to invite an expert on body language to figure out if the couple is playing to the audience or are in fact sincerely attached to each other. Patty Wood, an expert on first impressions, body language and charisma, told reporters that Ivanka's behavior most likely stems from her close relationship with her father. The expert recalled childhood photos where Ivanka sits on Trump's lap, and also reminded that, in fact, Ivanka is his beloved daughter. That is why Ivanka considers close contact to be normal.
In addition, as Wood says, Ivanka models her behavior in many ways, focusing on the relationship between Donald and Melania. And if now their handshake is rather rare, then before the couple constantly held hands. Apparently, Ivanka, observing their relationship, decided to behave the same way.
Wood noted that in some photographs it is Ivanka who is “leading”, holding her husband's hands, in others - they are “on equal terms”. According to the expert, this is not the norm in heterosexual couples of celebrities. For example, the “presenter” was Angelina Jolie paired with Brad Pitt (while he was “on an equal footing” with Jennifer Aniston), as well as J.Lo with everyone she met. And when Donald and Melania are holding hands, the president always goes a little ahead of his wife. In the Trump-Kushner couple, Ivanka most likely plays a leading role.
