Scientists are convinced that a dog can have a lifelong benefit for its owner, as it motivates him to walk or run in the morning every day.
Some people are convinced that walking their pets for the good of the pet, however, they themselves do not notice that they are doing this for the sake of maintaining their own tone.
Recent studies have shown that people who have dogs and take them for walks every day do a lot more exercise per week. They also have lower risks of high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, arthritis and other common diseases.
The same goes for their dogs, which are prone to obesity. Daily walks help them stay on their toes.
It is also believed that a deeper emotional connection develops between a dog and a person who walk together.
But despite these advantages, up to 40% of dog owners in the United States rarely walk their dogs.
