Speaking at a gala evening in honor of the award, Jennifer Lawrence admitted that the most memorable case of humiliation in her life was casting, in which the actresses were selected by a female producer. Everyone is accustomed to counting men as abusers, but a woman, according to the actress, can humiliate and injure very painfully. At that casting, Lawrence was one of five women who were much more slender than she had to strip almost naked (only special tapes covered intimate parts of the body). After this humiliating scene, the producer publicly told Lawrence that she should not just lose weight as soon as possible, but should also use her naked photos to motivate things to go faster.
Lawrence regrets that she allowed such an attitude - according to her, there was too little experience, and she really wanted to make a career, so she allowed humiliation. Subsequently, the actress admits, incorrect proposals were received from men occupying high positions in the industry, but she never agreed.
“I'm still learning that I don't have to smile if a man makes me feel uncomfortable,” Jennifer said in her speech.
