The girls did not wash for months, they relieved themselves in a bucket. Their own father forbade the twins to go out and communicate with anyone in general. The terrible story of Inna and Lina is told by the author of the "Cream of Society" blog on Yandex Zen.
Inna and Lina were born in a small Ukrainian village in the Poltava region three decades ago. Mom and Dad are simple workers. They lived modestly, sometimes they drank. Alexey, the head of the family, was a real tyrant. He chased everyone - the eldest son, twins, and beat his wife Lilia without sparing fists and legs.
Lilia could not influence the situation in any way. She had no protection. You won't go to the police to complain - who needs a family showdown. I endured it as long as I had strength. I didn't hope for human condemnation. Alexey was an ideal husband with neighbors and acquaintances.
Closer to school age, it became clear that Inna and Lina had a slight mental disorder. They would have received more attention, a special approach and everything would have leveled off, but ... At the age of 7 they went to school. We were lagging behind the program, did not keep up with the pace of ordinary guys. Lilia took the girls home schooling.

Meanwhile, the storm in the family did not subside. Alexei was still stern to his loved ones. Lilia decided to run away - to nowhere, without a penny of money. Lilia disappeared from the life of Inna and Lina for many years. They stayed with their father. It was as if something clicked in his head. He began to forbid girls to go out, communicate with anyone. He himself also began to avoid people. All day long digging in landfills - sorting through garbage and collecting metal. And so they lived.
The diet is bread and canned food. If needed - in a bucket. To empty it, Alexey went to the yard - he plopped the contents wherever he could. The man did not follow the garden and vegetable garden, where fresh fruits and vegetables could be grown. Everything was overgrown with weeds.
The twin girls lived in harsh conditions. We washed ourselves every few months in a rusty trough. Clothes - corroded rags from the trash can. Houses are a mess. Everything is littered with rubbish, covered with dust and covered with cobwebs. Alexey did not allow cleaning. For disobedience, he used his fists.

Lina and Inna literally did not see the white light. We lived like Mowgli. Such a nickname was given to the twins by journalists. The girls were lucky that they were alone - they retained the skills of communication and human speech. There was no question of any school education. Inna and Lina came to freedom, to people, to purity and warmth only at the age of 26. The girls were rescued by caring neighbors who tried to contact the state office, but they only waved their hands to requests. The case was launched after the social services were threatened with journalists.
At the hospital, the twins saw television for the first time and learned what normal human communication is. Inna and Lina also tasted fruits and sweets there. At first, they put them aside - they did not understand what it was. But they pounced on soups and the second.

And what about Alexey? During that period of time, he was a little dragged through the authorities, the case never came to prison. He does not consider himself guilty of anything.
