40 days ago, the artistic director of the Lenkom Theater Mark Zakharov passed away. It’s still difficult for the actors to believe in the death of the beloved director, and his daughter, 57-year-old Alexandra, was completely faced with a deep depression, writes StarHit.
However, Zakharov’s work does not leave, now she’s finishing preparations for the premiere of the play “Kapkan”: Zakharov dreamed of completing the production himself, the script for which was rewritten 17 times.
“This is the last will of Mark Anatolyevich. His daughter Alexandra is working on the play. The performance saves Sasha from tears, helps her survive the great loss. What really helps all of us. The scenery is already ready, and general runs will be in mid-November, ”said Mark Warsawer, director of Lenkom.
Zakharova was always very close with her father. After graduating from the Shchukin College, the artist was accepted into the Lenkom troupe. For 35 years, she worked with her father on the same stage, Mark Anatolyevich became for her also an adored mentor. When Alexandra's mother, actress Nina Lapshinova, died in 2014, the relatives rallied even more to survive the tragedy together.

According to Mark Warsawer, now all members of the Lenkom troupe are in mourning. At the 6 Theater in November, all events were canceled: students and friends of Zakharov went to the grave of the master to honor his memory.

In addition to loved ones, ordinary viewers also visit the grave of Mark Anatolyevich. The guard of the Novodevichy cemetery confirmed that fans of Zakharov bring flowers and wreaths every day. Near the grave are several large vases.
“Often they ask where the grave of Mark Anatolyevich is, because his name has not yet been added to the list at the entrance. We don’t touch anything here. If there are vases, then this is the wish of the relatives, ”said the guard.
Recall that Zakharov served as the artistic director of Lenkom for over 45 years. The director made an unprecedented contribution to Soviet cinema, creating the films “12 chairs”, “The same Munchausen”, “Ordinary Miracle” and others. After the death of Mark Anatolyevich, his post in the theater was taken by Mark Warsawaver.
