A resident of the Chinese city of Shenzhen was blinded by her left eye because she used her smartphone too much.
The girl played all night on her mobile phone. Waking up the next morning, she took her smartphone again, but five minutes later she realized that she couldn’t see anything with her left eye, writes Lenta.ru.
The Chinese woman went to the hospital. Her doctor, Qiu Wangjian, reported that there were blood clots on her retina that prevented her from seeing.

The patient was diagnosed with Valsalva retinopathy. The doctor explained that physical eye strain led to rupture of blood vessels.
Using a laser, doctors made a small hole in the retina, and this helped remove excess blood. The Chinese woman is recovering after the procedure, her vision returned.
