The widow of actor Nikolai Karachentsov, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Lyudmila Porgina admitted that three years ago she got into an accident in the Moscow region while driving drunk, writes News.ru.
Then Karachentsov was seriously injured, and the examination showed 0,3 ppm of alcohol in his wife's blood. Porgina admitted that she had been drinking in the morning that day, but decided to drive herself.
“Yes, I said that I drank champagne in the morning, I didn't know that it lasts a very long time. I took care of all the people who had an accident with me, they were my friends, my nurse is in charge, my friend and, of course, Kolya. We must not kill our children by our actions, ”said the actress.
Porgina made such a statement, commenting on the program "You Won't Believe It!" on NTV, the case of actor Mikhail Efremov, who pleaded guilty to a fatal road accident in court.

According to the actress, Efremov's colleagues swore to participate with him in the same projects if he managed to avoid punishment, but when he admitted his guilt, they immediately felt respect for him. Porgina herself promised to pray for him and expressed the hope that the actor would subsequently be reduced in prison for good behavior.
“I’ll just pray that due to his work, his behavior, this period will be shortened, so that he will come and return to this life as a decent person,” she said.
On June 8, Efremov's Jeep Grand Cherokee drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a van in the center of Moscow, the van driver was subsequently killed. At the time of the accident, Efremov was drunk, and traces of drugs were also found in his blood.
