Bride 38-year-old thief Stephen Reed handed over to police beloved, who made her a marriage proposal with the help of a stolen ring, reports Daily Mail.
Police found evidence of a man’s involvement in the robbery of an 91-year-old woman.
Stephen Reed, along with 26-year-old accomplice Jerome Jones, "ransacked" the old woman's house, locking her in the bedroom.
Among the stolen turned out to be a gold wedding ring, with which Reed asked for Christmas from his beloved.
However, the woman found out the piece of jewelry that the law enforcers were looking for and informed them about it. As a result, the police found evidence against Reed - his DNA on one of the tools with which the robbery was committed.
The court found the men guilty of burglary and sentenced Reed to 4 years and 9 months in prison; his accomplice received 4 of the year and 3 of the month.
